Little Things

*Wiyah helping Kelvinator with his math homework.  And how excited Wiyah is since it’s been a whole two and a half weeks and she hasn’t done any math.

*I wish we were a truly multilingual family. However, I do love the wide variety of languages that are spoken in some capacity in our home. Today there was lots of Spanish and English and Spanglish and Franglais. I love when multiple people at various different times are looking up vocabulary words. And at dinner Kelvinator was talking about how he was sick in December when the class was learning the subjunctive and how he’s been figuring it out on his own. And then he explained how to form the subjunctive in Spanish and then the Hubba showed him how different the subjunctive endings were in French from the indicative endings. Also, Wiyah is so excited that Duolingo is adding Kiswahili to the languages you can learn online AND the Book of Mormon was just translated into Kiswahili. She’s excited to be able to better communicate with some people that she met on her mission.

*The Hubba has been a rockstar these past few days. And I mean that figuratively, because what good is a rockstar? Anyway, he has been working so hard at meeting some goals and on top of that he’s been sick AND he’s been making dinners practically every night at the end of his big days.

*Doing Just Dance with Wiyah.

*Having a parenting insight with Pink today that will hopefully help me to be able to help her when she’s having a rough time.

*The peaceful feeling knowing that even though I haven’t talked to my daughter in a couple days, someone else has seen her and is loving her and making her happiness a priority.
